3/20/23 Meeting

Pinal HAC Meeting Roll Call: Amy & Rebecca Dillard, Alex & Dawn Odell, Marianne Harrison, Tammy and Sam Aden, Lily, Macy, Amy Goncalves, Victor Jimenez, Maria Melendez, 

 Treasurer Report: $2567.78 checking, $2504.85 savings
Sponsorships owed: Desert Dust Devils (3) Anonymous Donor has covered the cost of the TACC Arena for end of April show - Amy G. - Payment made to TACC? $200 - Dawn will check and pay on Saturday Potential Elks Donation - could be used to send kids to clinics or camps, set up a clinic for the county, other events, or awards. Tabled until next meeting 

Review of February Show at Pinal Cowboy Church 
Check in - no complaints 
Reminders of rules - nobody besides the board should be allowed to approach the judge 
Volunteers - no complaints 
Judge - no complaints 
Time management - breaks, warm ups - show went fast 

Alex made a motion to adjust the schedule to be showmanship then pleasure and then equitation/horsemanship. All were in favor! 

Planning for April Show at AJ Rodeo Grounds Amy will bring the Equipment trailer to AJ for April 1 show at AJ Rodeo Grounds - we have cones now! Square site has been updated to reflect April 1 date and location of show and registration is live. Food Vendor? working on it! Amy D. will post on social media about registration. Skillathon - Paden and Rachel - Feeds & Parts of the Horse Scores - Dawn spreadsheet and envelopes for ribbons - flash drive- Amy G. and Dawn Trophies - 19 horse trophies - for Grand and Reserve Adding in bareback classes for advanced riders to qualify for the state show. 

Ranch Sorting- Next Maricopa County Sorting is same as our Show Day - April 1 - Rules on State Qualifying The Pinal County Quotas for Ranch Sorting Discipline for the Arizona State 4-H Horse Show is: 8 teams total Ranch sorting is open to all junior/senior members who meet the age requirements. Teams are determined by age not skill. Members can enter on only two (2) different teams with different partners. Open teams will be filled by a voluntary draw of members qualified from each county at the state 4-H horse show, if desired. If empty qualifier slots for Ranch Sorting are left, then mixed county team competitors will fill those slots based upon the highest number of cows sorted per mixed county team. That slot will be filled as a DRAW slot. Current Qualifiers: Lily, Macy, Becca, Dixon, Devin, Lilah, Samantha, Sonny, Paden, Sterling
