Record Books- deadline is August 20th

4-H Record Books can be completed several ways this year! Members can complete their Record Books – Member Record and Project Record – in Zingbooks, you can complete your record book using the online forms, or you can print the online forms and fill them out by hand if you don’t have access to a computer. You can find the online forms at: https://extension.arizona.edu/az-4-h-record-books.

Members who need access to a computer can always complete the forms at their local library or come by the Extension office and we’ll be glad to assist!

If you’ve ever wondered how Record Books are judged, attached are guidelines we provide to the judges as they review the various sections of the book.

The deadline for submitting record books this year is 5PM on Friday, August 20th! Please let us know how we can help you / your members complete their record book this year!

Authorized 4-H Adults' Background Check Fees to be Paid by AZ4-HYF for the Next Six Years

As you each know, 4-H is a community-based program that relies heavily on caring adult volunteers. University Arizona Cooperative Extension, in partnership with the Arizona 4-H Youth Foundation will cover the costs of volunteer background checks for the next six years starting July 1, 2021. While volunteer background checks are required for all the University Arizona Cooperative Extension authorized 4-H adults, many authorized 4-H adults have generously covered their own costs for the background check in the past.
Arizona 4-H Youth Foundation Director, Deb Lester, says, “We cannot reach our goal of 20,000 True Leaders by 2025 without first supporting our volunteers, and this was identified as the greatest burden and barrier by you, our caring adults. We are proud we can help say thank you for all of your hard work.”
