 Treasurer Report: $2567.78 checking, $2504.85 savings

Sponsorships owed: Desert Dust Devils (3) Anonymous Donor has covered the cost of the TACC Arena for end of April show - Amy G. - Payment made to TACC? $200 - Dawn will check and pay on Saturday Potential Elks Donation - could be used to send kids to clinics or camps, set up a clinic for the county, other events, or awards. Tabled until next meeting

Reminders of rules - nobody besides the board should be allowed to approach the judge

Time management - breaks, warm ups - show went fast 

Alex made a motion to adjust the schedule to be showmanship then pleasure and then equitation/horsemanship. All were in favor! 

Planning for April Show at AJ Rodeo Grounds Amy will bring the Equipment trailer to AJ for April 1 show at AJ Rodeo Grounds - we have cones now! Square site has been updated to reflect April 1 date and location of show and registration is live. Food Vendor? working on it! Amy D. will post on social media about registration. Skillathon - Paden and Rachel - Feeds & Parts of the Horse Scores - Dawn spreadsheet and envelopes for ribbons - flash drive- Amy G. and Dawn Trophies - 19 horse trophies - for Grand and Reserve Adding in bareback classes for advanced riders to qualify for the state show. 

Ranch Sorting- Next Maricopa County Sorting is same as our Show Day - April 1 - Rules on State Qualifying The Pinal County Quotas for Ranch Sorting Discipline for the Arizona State 4-H Horse Show is: 8 teams total Ranch sorting is open to all junior/senior members who meet the age requirements. Teams are determined by age not skill. Members can enter on only two (2) different teams with different partners. Open teams will be filled by a voluntary draw of members qualified from each county at the state 4-H horse show, if desired. If empty qualifier slots for Ranch Sorting are left, then mixed county team competitors will fill those slots based upon the highest number of cows sorted per mixed county team. That slot will be filled as a DRAW slot. Current Qualifiers: Lily, Macy, Becca, Dixon, Devin, Lilah, Samantha, Sonny, Paden, Sterling

 Good news! We were able to secure a new date and location for our first show.  It will now be 2/4/23 at the Cowboy Church in Casa Grande.  Can't wait to see everyone there!  Enter here: https://pinal4hhorse.square.site/

 12/26/22 Meeting

It was great hearing from everyone tonight! We started the meeting at 6:08 with role call. After roll call we went over the secretary and treasurer reports.  Amy went over new sponsorship's and horse ID cards.  It was agreed that the money for the pizza paid for by Amy G at the clinic would go towards Lily and Macy 's sponsorship's. 

Some members have arranged to have a sorting lesson before Maricopa County's sorting competition this weekend. The kids can expect to learn the process of how sorting works along with helpful pointers on the sorting process. Can't wait to hear how everyone does! 

Next up, January 7 horse show.  Dawn thinks it will be best to cancel the event if the arena and grounds are unsafe for competition. Unfortunately some of our members will not be able to make this event so we have decided to move goat tying to another date and replace it with mystery class. We discussed the amount of ribbons we have in inventory: 1st 52, 2nd 33 and 3rd 57 along with grand champion.  Amy D suggested little trophy's or glass plates for grand and reserve champions. Registration will be at 8 with a meeting at 8:30 and a parent meeting at 8:50.  We will start with English classes. Dawn is hoping there will be a food truck on site for lunch options. Preregistration is required. We will not accept cash at the show. Trail obstacles are already at the arena so we need to remember cones and barrels. 

Amy G reminded everyone of the upcoming Southern Arizona Equine Healthcare Symposium on 1/21. 

Our next meeting will be 1/23/23, watch for the link. Our meeting was adjourned at 6:41. 

Not discussed at the meeting but worth a mention is the All Weather Get Together hosted by the Country Kickers.  It will be a great way for all Pinal County clubs to come together for fun and food  See their Facebook page for more information.
