We want to remind all of our state horse show qualifiers that record books are due by July 17th.
Don't delay and get them turned in to the 4-H office in time!!

Project Record Book Workshop


Need help getting started on your project record book? 

Join Amy Dillard for an online workshop on Friday, 6/5/2020 @ 1pm (See link below)

Items Needed




  • Download your project recordbook (AND SAVE IT where you can find it on your computer)
  • Calendar or planner from October 2019-June 2020
  • Any receipts you have saved from purchases you have made for project (Feed, grooming products, vet bills, farrier bills, boarding, lessons, tack, etc)  Don't worry if you don't have these.
  • Post-it notes

Our Pinal County horse rule book is developed as guidelines for our county horse program and does not take the place of the current Arizona State 4-H Horse Show Rules set forth by the State 4-H Advisory Committee. 

If you would like to propose a rule change for PINAL COUNTY, please submit them in writing, to the Pinal County HAC rule book committee at the email listed below.  Proposed changes will be discussed and voted on at the August meeting.

2020-2021 Horse Proposed Rules Changes, and Annual Meeting- We need your help!

Greetings 4-H Families, 

The Horse Advisory Committee, who is responsible for organizing county horse shows will be meeting August 22, 2020 at 10 am in the Cooperative Extension Office, 820 E. Cottonwood Ln, Bldg. C.  At this meeting, new committee members will be chosen, horse show dates will be set, and rules for the 2020-2021 year will be voted on. We would like to invite you to attend if you are a certified leader or in process of certification and would like to join the committee! We also are looking for a minimum of 2 youth representatives.

Cancelled - 4th 4-H Horse Show


Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 situation and the suspension of in-person 4-H programming, our 4th Horse Show is cancelled.  We are working toward an alternative for an end of the year awards presentation.  Details will follow after our April 8th conference call.  Should you have ANY suggestions, PLEASE email them to pinalcounty4hhorse@gmail.com. We want to hear any and all ideas - don't assume we have already heard your idea!

If you have not submitted your sponsorships for year-end awards, please mail $150 payment (postmarked) by April 25th to:

Where:                      TACC Arena 12365 N Ralston Rd, Maricopa, Arizona 85139 
                                                
Registration:              8am- 8:30am  
Show Start:                9am 

Pre-Registration Due: Horse Registration Online:  Friday, April 3, 2020 by 10 pm via the Google Form Online Registration 
You will receive an email verification that the form was received.   The registration form will be open until April 3rd.  Changes to the registration form can be made up to April 3rd or made the day of the show. 

Please be sure to register for the appropriate skill level (Beginner, Intermediate, Jr, Advanced, or Sr Advanced) for each discipline (English, Western, or Gymkhana).  Click here for a listing of riders and skill levels.

Horse Show Fees:  
  • $5.00 - per class fee  
  • $15 - late fee for any registration received after Friday, April 3rd after 10pm
  • $20 - arena fee per exhibitor
  • $5.00 - skillathon fee


Sponsorship Packets —   This is the FINAL show to submit sponsorship funds.  Horse members are required to obtain $150 in sponsorship to be eligible for year end awards/buckles.   Payment must be in the form of cash, money order, or cashiers check.
  • Submit forms to:  Sponsorship forms are to be sent to @ email (pinalcounty4hhorse@gmail.com)
  • Submit ad artwork to: pinalcounty4hhorse@gmail.com by March 30th
                       
To continue our success, we want to remind all families that 4-H is run by all families and your help is required at every show according to the rule book.  Sign ups will available at the morning meeting day of show.

Year End Awards- Will be given at the end of the show
