For those showing on November 9th, here are the official rules for clothing from the Horse Rulebook:

For Showing English

Required:

Helmet
English shirt or blouse
Breeches with Knee-high English Riding Boots
or
Paddock Boots with breeches and half chaps or Jodhpur pants.
Coats are required for Intermediate/Advanced and optional for Beginner (may be waived by show committee if it's too hot)

Optional:
Tie
Gloves

For Showing Western
Required:

Helmet
Western Boots with heel.
Long sleeve shirt with collar (shirt tails should be tucked in and sleeve should be rolled down and buttoned)
Pants must not have rips.
Belts are required if pants have belt loops.

Optional:
Western Hat (for showmanship only)
Gloves
Chaps
Chinks

This is a reminder if you have collected sponsorship funds to turn in at the first show we need the artwork by Friday 10/18  at 5pm. That way we can begin on making the program for the show.

Only 5 days left to register!!

Horse project leaders and families,

You have until Friday the 18th by 5pm to register for the first horse show. A $15 late fee will apply if you register after Friday!!

Get those horse ID cards, horse show registration form, code of conduct forms in to the pinalcounty4hhorse@gmail.com email by Friday!

Sponsorship summary forms and artwork (if you’ve obtained a sponsorship already) need to be submitted by this date too. That way they can be in all four programs. Funds will be collected at the first show.

Cattle Play Day

Not a 4-H event, but 4-H State Ranch Sorting qualifiers will be there practicing and willing to teach anyone who is interested.

7a-10a
$20 for P&M members
$30 for non-member
$10 for extra horses

This is a friendly reminder about the Horse Vaccination Clinic at the AJ Rodeo Grounds on October 12th. If you have not already RSVP'd do so by October 1st by Clicking Here.
We will also be accepting Horse ID Cards as well as Show Registration and Sponshorship Packets.

Invitation to the 1st Horse Show

** Please be sure you have enrolled on https://az.4honline.com/Login.aspx?403D4071382F6B4941594A6A39383D prior to registering for the first horse show.**

2019-2020 Pinal County 4-H Horse Show and skillathon #1

When:                         Saturday, November 9, 2019 
Where:                       Pinal County Cowboy Church Arena 18171 W. Hopi Drive, Casa Grande, AZ 85122
Registration:              8am- 8:30am  
Show Start:                9am 

  
REMINDER:  Mandatory helmet policy for all 4-H members anytime while on the back of a horse on the property. Per Pinal County, this policy is effective immediately. These must be approved horse helmets, bicycle helmets are not allowed.  


Pre-Registration Due: Horse Registration Form and Horse ID Card due: Friday, October 18, 2019 by 5pm via email (pinalcounty4hhorse@gmail.com

Horse Show Fees
  • $5.00 - per class fee  
  • $15 - late fee for onsite registration 
  • $20 - arena fee per exhibitor
  • $5.00 - skillathon fee


Sponsorship Packets —   Pinal County horse members are required to obtain $150 in sponsorship to be eligible for year end awards/buckles.   

Sponsorship Due:  Sponsor Ad's must be submitted by October 18th to be included in all four horse show programs. Submit artwork to pinalcounty4hhorse@gmail.com. 
                       



To continue our success, we want to remind all families that 4-H is run by all families and your help is required at every show. Sign ups will available at the morning meeting day of show.
